Come as you are, some days we have more energy than others. If yoga is completely new to you, you can take part in the exercises you are comfortable with and take breaks whenever you want. If you can breathe, you can do yoga.
Yoga with us is level-adjusted with simple and good exercises for everyone.
Fridays are quiet yoga with a focus on calmness, breathing and stretching.
Mondays are dynamic yoga with a focus on breathing, calm movement and strength.
What do you need?
You can borrow all the equipment you need. Dress in comfortable and loose clothing. Please bring a drinking bottle. On Monday, it's okay to bring a sweater.
Where will you meet?
On Mondays, the yoga takes place in the gymnasium at Bjørgvin DPS in Åsane. There is a bus stop nearby. If you come by car, you must remember the parking tag that you get at reception. Where to meet on monday Yoga
Registration
There is no registration on Mondays, you just have to show up in the gymnasium at Bjørgvin DPS.
On Fridays, there is not room for as many people and registration is therefore required. Registration takes place via the website of the Psychiatry Alliance, and registrations are published at the end of the weekend before the Friday yoga (Just click on Registrations via the menu and sign up). Contact us if you need help with registration.
Locate: There is parking outside and a bus stop close by. The bus stop is called "Bakketoppen". Bus 3, Støbotn runs directly from Bergen Centre. It is 4 minutes to walk from the bus stop.
Trainers / Volunteer:
Cecilie Cecilie is our Yoga instructor. She is concerned that yoga should be for everyone, regardless of age, size and how mobile you are. She emphasizes adapting yoga to your body and daily form and not the other way around. Cecilie's yoga classes are varied, with an emphasis on simple exercises.
