Interaction between physics and psyche
When climbing, you meet our knowledgeable and calm climbing trainers who create a safe and good atmosphere during training. The trainers secure and motivate you while you climb the wall. If you have climbed before and have a steep pass/top rope pass, you can also climb on autobelay. If you have not climbed before or if you are afraid of heights, there is no obstacle, you can come and have a look for the first time or try your way up the wall carefully.
The Monday climb is a collaboration between the Psychiatry Alliance and Idrett Bergen Sør. We have a climb on Wednesdays under the guidance of the Psychiatry Alliance.
What do you need?
Dress in comfy clothes. You can borrow all equipment from us.
Where will you meet?
ATTENTION! This summer (Monday 24 June to and including Monday 5 August) the Monday training sessions will be moved from Sandslihallen to Bergenshallen.
[ Climbing on Mondays is in Sandslihallen. The nearest light rail stop is Sandslivegen (approx. 5 minutes' walk) and the nearest bus stop is Petedalsheia. ]
Climbing on Wednesdays is in Bergenshallen.
How do I find climbing in Bergenshallen?
The climbing wall is located in Landås and in the same building as the ice hall "Bergenshallen", a separate entrance to the climbing wall is on the short side of the building to the south (See map under training, where the entrance to climbing is shown with blue writing font). If you arrive late and the others have gone in, ring the doorbell. The light rail passes the hall, get off at the "Sletten" stop and follow the main road 200 m up to the hall. Bybanen departs from the city center/Nesttun every 5/10 minutes.
About Bergenshallen: 470 square metres, 15 meters high, 25 bolt lines, approx. 50 routes between grade 3+ to 8+.

Erik Idrett Bergen Sør
Play and physical activity have been a big part of my life ever since I was little. My biggest interests are outdoor life, climbing, crossfit, strength training and frisbee golf. I get a lot of profit from being physically active, nothing beats the good feeling after a workout! For me, sport and outdoor life are about health, fair play, social belonging, safety and mastery. That is exactly what I am working for people to experience in our activities.
