Feeling of freedom, nature experience, mastery
Kayaking is a great way to experience nature on the water. You don't need any prior knowledge to join in, this activity is equally suitable for beginners as well as experienced paddlers. Our trainers er experienced kayakers and are able to adapt the training to any level you are at. If you are new til kayaking you will get an introduction in saftey rules and learn how to manouver the kayak.
For your own safety, you must be able to swim.
A little info about our kayaks:
The kayaks are made by Boreal Design and the model is called Baffin, it is available in three sizes, P1, P2 and P3 in increasing size and we have available:
- 2 green P1, has recommended paddler weight: 41 - 73 kg, seat well length x width: 80 x 40 cm.
- 4 red P2, has recommended paddler weight: 64 - 102 kg, seat well length x width: 80 x 40 cm.
- 2 yellow P3, has recommended paddler weight: 91 - 136 kg, seat well length x width: 85 x 43.5 cm.
What should you bring?
- We have all the equipment you need for this activity.
- You can borrow equipment, life jacket, paddling jacket and wetsuit.
- The activity lasts several hours, so remember to dress according to the weather.
- It's nice to wear woolen underwear underneath if it's cool outside.
- Bring a change of dry clothes.
- It is good to bring a snack for the lunch break and remember a water bottle.
When and where will you meet?
Every
friday from 11:00 to 15:00 there is kayaking. Meet at Fana Roklubb.

Bjørn
Bjørn is a regular paddler on our kayak training sessions. He is gentle and pleasant and has plenty of paddling experience to get you safe through the training session.
