Kristin walks the length of Norway
Our wonderful trainer Kristin from the outdoor swimming group is walking the length of Norway, from Lindesnes to the Nordkapp to promote mental health and the Psychiatry Alliance! The trip is well over 3,000 kilometres, and she has set aside six months. She will walk alone most of the time, but on certain stages she will be accompanied. Accommodations will mostly be in tents.
Along the way, she will visit several municipalities and treatment facilities to promote physical activity and mental health. Kristin wants to show the importance of physical activity both in the prevention and treatment of mental illness. She will also inform about the Psychiatry Alliance and the important work we do, as there is great interest from other parts of the country to know more about our model.
Below you can follow updates of this wonderful trip that Kristin has embarked on.
Kristin in Tromsø
My colleague Kristin, who is walking the length of Norway and has now come all the way to Tromsø. She has now been on tour for almost 6 months, and says that she is doing very well in every way. The picture was taken when she met Lasse and Per from the Psychiatry Alliance.
In Tromsø, she attended a seminar at UNN Åsgård hospital and gave a fantastic presentation of her project to walk the length of Norway.
