The Psychiatry Alliance is considering handball as a new activity!

Last week we received a nice invitation to play a handball match against Gatelaget til Os. Os is the first in Norway to have street teams in handball, and they work well to motivate other clubs to also start teams. At short notice we managed to fill two cars with sporty volunteers, and set off for Os. Many of us had never played handball before, so we were excited to see how this would go. Fortunately, we were able to borrow two good players from Os, so that we also had substitutes.
It was a close and even match, but our brilliant goalkeeper Franklin made some crucial saves so that we eventually managed to win 9-7. There was always a good atmosphere on the field, and it seemed that everyone was having a great time. After the match, we were invited to a great joint lunch in their clubhouse.

This was so successful in every way that we are now considering whether to start a handball team in the Psychiatry Alliance. Feel free to contact us if you would like to play handball with us. There is no requirement to have played handball before to join. There is still some work to be done to get trainers in place, find a training room and obtain funding for the new activity, but we are optimistic that we can find good solutions. At least until the next match, Psykiatrialliansen's handball team is undefeated. We can probably also call ourselves the unofficial Norwegian street team handball champions, huh?
