Bergen Whites supports the Psychiatry Alliance!

Bergen Whites (Leeds supporters in Bergen) has been an important supporter of the Psychiatry Alliance for many years. In previous years, they have, among other things, held an auction for a signed Leeds kit, and a fundraising campaign has been carried out among the members, which has generated very good income for the Psychiatry Alliance.

A few weeks ago, the hard core of Bergen Whites fans got in touch with us again with some really happy news: Our beloved Leeds United had just beaten Liverpool 2-1 away from home, and the atmosphere among the hard core of Leeds supporters was of course wild. Quite spontaneously, it was decided to start a new collection for income for the Psychiatry Alliance. Very quickly, on the same evening, a total of NOK 20,000 was collected from happy Leeds fans in Bergen. Fantastic!

Today we had a pleasant visit at the office from some of the managers and zealots in Bergen Whites, Rune Monsen and Sven Meyer, who presented the wonderful monetary gift. From the Psychiatry Alliance, the ardent Leeds supporter Lasse Hjelle presented. It was a nice visit, where we enjoyed delicious Leedskake. We in the Psychiatry Alliance talked about our important offer of free physical activity for people with mental challenges, and the Bergen Whites leaders told more about the good social environment among the large group of Leeds supporters in Bergen.

The Psychiatry Alliance has a strained economy, and we must constantly operate soberly and carefully to be able to maintain the important offer. There is a great need for new equipment for our approximately 30 regular weekly training groups, so this great monetary gift of NOK 20,000 is an enormous help in our further work.
